Famous Grecian Salad

Our story begins in small town Johnson City over 82 years ago  more than half of our cities age!  My grandfather, the late John Kalogeros, founded Peerless in 1938.  Two decades later, my father Jim Kalogeros served this city for over half a Century. Today, led by the 4th generation & titled Tennessee's Oldest Restaurant, our family's legacy is being redefined once again. Starting a new decade in 2021, we are relaunching the newest state of the art restaurant in the Tri-Cities Region.

Since 1938, the Peerless has been known for signature dishes and chef driven fare. We continue to feature the famous Grecian Salads, butcher cut & aged premium steaks, fresh seafood, and array of  creative dishes. Our modern steakhouse, intertwined with all new 2021 design, will be the hottest restaurant in town. Deeply rooted in the city’s local history, we've been serving fine food & southern hospitality for over eight decades. You will always find one or more members of the Kalogeros family in our restaurant.  

 

We offer handcrafted items made from the freshest local ingredients + all new signature cocktails & large variety of wines (served by the bottle & many by the glass). Additionally, we offer over 100 bottles of fine whiskeys & bourbons to choose from in our all NEW Whiskey & Wine Lounge.

 

Our private dining rooms have been redesigned and are still available for social gatherings, meetings, specialty family or multi level functions. We are also including access to our "Meat Aging Speak Easy", featuring in door/out door alfresco dining.  We have accommodations available for every type of event, at anytime .
